The first part of the brief was to restore and improve the quality of this weathered 38 year old 35mm shot of Michael Caine from the original film and bring it into line with the rest of the credit sequence, both in detail and depth, eliminating large grain and blemishes, illustrating hair and facial definition. The second part was to retouch and composited the entire montage sequence designed by Mel Agace and photographed by David Appleby.
