This image is one of two posters commissioned by the Citizens Crime Commission and by Draft FCB.
the Crime Commission launched a public service advertising campaign to fight illegal gun crime.
The campaign, with the tagline GUNS=PRISON, highlights the 3½-year prison sentence for carrying an illegal loaded handgun in New York. The poster advertisements were displayed across the city on phone kiosks, in buses and subways, in restaurants, bars, and nightclubs and on billboards.
I was given a freehand on the positioning, order and structure of the skyline 
​My thinking behind the composition was to try to replicate the famous view approaching Manhatten island from the upper bay, Ellis island area, with the buildings in the centre being more prominent and disappearing into the distance at the sides to emphasise the island shape unique to the New Youk cityscape .
